Announcing Tech Against Terrorism's Newest Member: Clubhouse

We are pleased to welcome Clubhouse as the newest member of Tech Against Terrorism. We have had the pleasure to support Clubhouse throughout its participation in the Tech Against Terrorism Mentorship Programme, and look forward to continue working with Clubhouse to counter terrorist use of the internet whilst respecting human rights and freedom of expression. Throughout the Mentorship Programme, Clubhouse has also shown its commitment to increase transparency and accountability towards their users, which we at Tech Against Terrorism will continue to support them with.

In joining our membership, Clubhouse has signed the Tech Against Terrorism Pledge. Our Pledge is based on internationally recognised norms and aims to promote responsible industry practices with regard to online counterterrorism efforts whilst ensuring that the protection of human rights and counterterrorism efforts are complementary and mutually reinforcing goals.

“At Clubhouse we pride ourselves on being the place where users from all walks of life can come together to make friends and discuss ideas openly with one another, so it’s our utmost priority to foster an accepting and safe environment for everyone. It takes a strong team and collaboration with others to ensure this happens. That’s why we’re excited to join Tech Against Terrorism to curtail the use of technology for harmful purposes and build a more prosperous internet for all.”
