We are pleased to welcome Zoom Video Communications as the newest member of Tech Against Terrorism. We have had the pleasure to support Zoom throughout its participation in the Tech Against Terrorism Mentorship Programme, and look forward to continue working with Zoom to counter terrorist use of the internet whilst respecting human rights and freedom of expression. Throughout the Mentorship Programme, Zoom has also shown its commitment to increase transparency and accountability towards their users, something which we at Tech Against Terrorism will continue to support them with.

In joining our membership, Zoom has signed the Tech Against Terrorism Pledge. Our Pledge is based on internationally recognised norms and aims to promote responsible industry practices with regard to online counterterrorism efforts whilst ensuring that the protection of human rights and counterterrorism efforts are complementary and mutually reinforcing goals.

“We are honored to be part of Tech Against Terrorism. By joining this organization, Zoom furthers its commitment to fostering trust, safety, and respect for its users, while supporting the free exchange of thoughts and ideas. Together, we look forward to achieving our shared goals of combatting the use of technology for terrorist acts and making the internet a safer space.”
